The Simple Philosophy You Can Use to Handle Anything

How to deal with the ebbs and flows of life

Imagine a few months ago someone telling you that the entire planet earth would be shut down. You wouldn’t have believed it. Yet here we are.

They say “the only constant is change,” which is why I’ve developed a certain philosophy to deal with it — equal parts pragmatism and risk.

Ok, what am I talking about?

Well, I often talk about the fact that nothing is guaranteed in life. If you’ve been reading my work for a while, you know I talk about mortality quite a bit.

I talk about the fact that “being safe” and trying to “avoid risk” doesn’t make sense in the context of facing death every day.

Using that lens, the default view would be to chase after every single dream you have, live each day like your last, and focus on doing everything in your power to succeed now instead of telling yourself “eventually.”

But then, on the other hand, you also have to live your real life. You’re not in a position to just drop everything and do whatever you want. This is why I suggest slowly building out a project or working on a major goal on the side while you live your normal life in the hopes that it’ll pay off one day.
