I’m Placing a Huge Bet on This Writing Platform in 2024
You probably know me as the “Medium” guy.
Odds are you found me and joined my list through Medium. You’ve read my articles on the platform. And you’ve heard me promote it as the number one go-to option for writers.
I love Medium. It’s the platform that helped me go full-time as a writer. I’ve made multiple six figures directly from Medium earnings. It’s still a great site for beginners and intermediate writers to sharpen their skills.
But for the first time in years, I’m shifting my strategy and using this platform as my primary tool to build my writing business.
From now on, I will be featuring the majority of my work on X — the company formally known as Twitter.
Here are my reasons why.
This feature changes everything:
X now gives you the ability to write ‘long-form’ content. If you have a pro account, the 280-character limit is gone and you can write your in-depth thoughts on the platform.
This is a game-changer.
Short-form traffic is great for getting attention, but long-form content is great for building deep relationships with readers. My biggest knock on X was its lack of a way to create deep bonds, but now it exists.
I’ve been getting good traffic and lots of email subscribers from using long-forms and several students have been using them to grow their accounts.
It’s foolish to bet against him:
Some people don’t like Elon Musk. He’s brash, politically incorrect, and some say downright immature.
But nobody can argue he’s bad at business.
If you only build one billion-dollar company, people can call it luck. But if you build half a dozen billion-dollar companies and everything you touch turns to gold, it can’t be a coincidence.
Regardless of what you think about the guy and his personality, it would be foolish not to use a platform that’s under the helm of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time.
