His ethos of personal responsibility runs counter to the societal narrative of helplessness and oppression -- a narrative that's quite profitable for many people. They're afraid of him waking people out of their slumber. Once you become slightly awake and aware you realize much of the politically correct woke culture is utter nonsense.
